The very first photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman hit the internet last Friday, and as the iconic figure has undergone a serious revamp in the new film, Hathaway acknowledges that some people out there just aren’t a fan of the character's new look.
"I was not going to admit it," Hathaway begins when probed with the question of her first reaction to the photo. "I asked someone to send me a few reactions [to the photo], and I happen to know that MTV's reaction was 'meh.' "
During the junket, the actress points her response to a noticeably uncomfortable MTV news reporter who was conducting the interview on press day for her upcoming film, One Day.
In these reviews, MTV called out Hathaway's portrayal of Catwoman as "unflattering" and "underwhelming." Nevertheless, Anne seems undeterred by the negative criticism promising this photo shows only "a 10th of what that suit can do," going on to say those who approved of the photo "have excellent taste"
What do you think? Do you love or hate what we’ve seen so far of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman?
