PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON AT BAFTA EVENT LA

Hollywood's best and brightest arrived in a cavalcade of sleek, black Audis to Saturday night's inaugural BAFTA Brits to Watch event in Los Angeles, and as the world waited in anticipation to see what Kate would be wearing, The Duchess of Cambridge did not disappoint.

Dressed in an elegant, lilac Grecian-style Alexander McQueen dress, the Duchess held her own in the daunting company of A-list fashionistas like Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Blake Lively and Zooey Deschanel.

For fellow Brit Piers Morgan, Middleton evokes the presence of the late princess Diana, relating her stylistic influence for the American crowd to that of a present-day Jackie O.

Watch the video to see Will and Kate arrive in style, and hear what Hollywood's A-list had to say about meeting the Royal Couple for the first time.

The BAFTA Brits to Watch in partnership with Audi event brought together 42 emerging British talent in film, television and video games, and was hosted by BAFTA President William, The Duke of Cambridge. The evening also featured a program of videos, hosted by Cat Deeley, highlighting the Brits to Watch as well as the contributions of Brits in Hollywood. Videos were introduced by Jennifer Lopez, Stephen Fry and Dominic Cooper.
