Australian and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth tells us how it was like to be on set with a league of established movie stars in The Avengers
With an A-list cast - Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemworth and Mark Ruffalo - playing a league of super heroes in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, The Avengers, it's no wonder the number one question on everyone's minds at the movie's press conference was: Were there any clashes of superstar egos during the 92-day long filming experience?
One day after taking the witness stand herself, Jennifer Hudson endured painful testimony today from a police officer who found her dead family members as the trial continued of the man accused of killing her mother, brother and nephew.
Director Christopher Nolan is very excited about moviegoers' interest in IMAX technology, and such moviegoers should be excited about his excitement, because when The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20, it'll contain over an hour of IMAX footage — the most ever for a mainstream production.
If there wasn't enough of a reason for people to start talking "The Avengers" vs. "The Dark Knight Rises" before, today's news all but guaranteed the comparison. An exhibitor relations website confirmed that the second and final full trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" will play before Marvel's universal class reunion starting May 4.
Will the "Dark Knight Rises" trailer outshine "The Avengers"? Which film will gross more at the box office? Can either touch the records set by "The Dark Knight"? These are questions that were always going to be asked because of how closely the two films will be released.
In fact, the conversation officially began last week when Fandango published the results of their latest poll, where readers voted for which summer movie interested them the most. Both male and female voters chose "The Avengers" over "The Dark Knight Rises" by large margins. Then, early track for "The Avengers" put its opening weekend box-office figures north of the holy $150 million mark, potentially placing it in the realm of "The Hunger Games," "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" and, perhaps most importantly, 2008's "The Dark Knight."
When the cast of The Avengers gathered at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills on Thursday for a post-premiere press conference, director Joss Whedon was completely unaware that his star, Robert Downey Jr., would spill the beans on a hidden scene being shot that night in the Los Angeles area. Whedon himself denied it, but when Hollywood.com met up with Chris Hemsworth later in the afternoon, the actor's awkward giggles made it pretty clear that Downey had majorly screwed up. "I cannot comment, on the grounds that it might incriminate me in some way," he said with a smile. "I looked across to [Producer Kevin Feige] when [Downey] said that, and there was that half smile, half 'What are you doing?' sort of look that he gave him. I'm happy to not have said it."
Ugh, guys, it happened again. No, Lindsay Lohan hasn't gone to jail, Mel Gibson hasn't gone on some half-mad rampage, and Ryan Seacrest hasn't closed a deal to produce yet another cable reality show. No, some silly starlet has gone and posed in the "Demi." You know the pose — the naked pregnant pose with the arms over the breast and the hand blocking the crotch that Demi Moore and Annie Leibovitz made famous on the cover of Vanity Fair in 1991. Yes, we all know it. Now everyone needs to stop copying it forever!
The latest offender is model and Victoria Secret "angel" Alessandra Ambrosio, who posted this photo on Facebook of her in the offending position. First of all, damn, that is one tiny baby bump. Secondly, this is about the hackiest, most trite, over-used pose that a pregnant woman could think of. Just stop. As evidenced by its ability to bear children, the human body is a many-splendored thing. There must be some other configuration of body and limbs and light and diaphanous curtains that you could employ to show off the body and the bump without having to resort to something that's copied more than a bootleg version of The Hunger Games at a Chinatown DVD factory.

Do you drink soda drinks? How often do you drink it?
When I was young, I was an avid drinker of Coca-Cola and other soft drinks. Actually, I was pretty much a coke addict. I could never get past a day without Coke. It was normal to finish almost a whole 1.5 liter coke bottle in a day.
As I grew up, I became more conscious of the need to be healthy. I relooked into my diet, including how my soda habits. Eventually, I took them out of my diet. In the rare occasions where I drink them, I find the taste excessively sweet, acidic and unpalatable. Looking back, it was hard to believe I was putting so much of chemical junk into my body back then.
