KATY PERRY WANTS RUSSELL BRAND BACK

For all her wild-child ways at last weekend's Coachella music festival in California — cavorting about with gal pal Rihanna and crowd-surfing among fans — Katy Perry isn't as carefree as she appears, at least according to friends.

The "Part of Me" singer, who parted ways with Russell Brand, her husband of 14 months, at the end of last year, is currently "lost" — and hoping to reconcile with the comedian, sources tell Us Weekly.

"Katy's been trying to get him back!" one friend told the magazine. "She's a lost soul right now."

According to another source, Perry began to wax nostalgic about their relationship after taking a trip to India by herself April 3.

"She's already been missing Russell," the source told Us Weekly. "Being back there stirred up even more old feelings."

Brand, 36, filed for divorce from Perry, 27, in December, and the two have tried to keep their highly publicized split as clear-cut as possible.

The comedian didn't take a cent of Perry's money in the divorce, and Perry's pastor parents have said repeatedly that they hold no ill will toward Brand.

"There are no hard feelings toward Russell — I just received a text from him the other day in fact," Perry's father, Keith Hudson, told Us Weekly at the time. "He is a wonderful and smart guy.

"Her career got real busy and she did not get to see that much of Russell. It was just one of those things."

Brand is reportedly dating model Nikolett Barabas, and Perry has been spotted with French model Baptiste Giabiconi.

Says a pal of Perry's: "Right now, Katy and Russell are trying to get to the point where they can at least be friends."
