Lindsay Lohan Not Off the Hook Yet in Betty Ford Beatdown Case

Just when Lindsay Lohan thought she was out of Betty Ford, the long arm of the law is pulling her back in.

After meeting this morning to review the rehabbed starlet's alleged scuffle with a staffer, the Riverside County D.A. is pushing to continue its inquiry into the incident, the office's Public Information Officer confirms to E! News.

The D.A. met with the lead investigator on the case and the prosecutor to discuss the Dec. 12 altercation with Betty Ford employee Dawn Holland, who was later fired from the center. Holland decided not to press charges after originally accusing LiLo of attacking her.
Unfortunately for the actress, the alleged victim is not calling the shots.

Nor is the Palm Desert Police Department, who have said the actress violated her probation and should be charged with battery. Instead, the District Attorney's Office will decide whether to file charges against the actress based on the results of the continued investigation.
Lohan is due back in court for a progress review on Feb. 25.
