Rovio announced this week that their smash-hit iPhone and Android game Angry Birds will be available on the Sony Playstation 3 and the PSP consoles, according to BBC.
Since the game was released late 2009, it has been downloaded 40 million times and is renowned for its simple yet addicting gameplay.
The game is slated for release on Jan. 5 for around $4.
Angry Birds is a game similar to previous flash games like ArmorGames’ Crush the Castle, where the player hurls objects at structures to smash those who are inside. In Angry Birds, the player hurls birds.
In this game, the player has access to numerous different kinds of birds/ammunition to destroy castles and structures made by enemy pigs to rescue eggs. In all, there are 63 levels.
Peter Vesterbacka, chief executive of Rovio Mobile Ltd., told BBC that the company will soon also release an Angry Birds 2.
"Let's say that you will see a lot more of the pigs," he told the news agency.
