NICK JONAS: IS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER KID TO SHINE

Singer and Disney star Nick Jonas is using his celebrity to give other kids a chance to shine.
The youngest of the three Jonas Brothers is joining the Quaker Chewy Superstar Search which gives the chance for young talent between the ages of 8 and 14 a chance to live their dream and become a pop star like Nick himself. The winner will receive the opportunity to record a song produced by Nick, an online music video, a Jonas Group Management contract and $5,000 cash.
"I'm really looking forward to this," Nick said at a press event for the new venture. "It's a beautiful opportunity to find someone with clearly a great voice, but also someone who has a lot to say within their voice."

From now until August 5, aspiring artists can upload their performances to the contest website, where a panel of judges will then go through and choose the top five. Then, similar to "American Idol," fans all over the country will get the chance to vote for the next superstar. Nick went on to express how young kids should strive for their dream despite their youth.

"I don't think it's ever too early," Nick said. "As long as they have a good group of people around them to keep them kind of in the right head space and hopefully I can be one of those people for whoever this person is that we find."
